Netherurd House Campsites
Netherurd House has five equipped campsites.

BP Shelter (min 15 persons)
A large building on site for shelter and storage. It is equipped for up to 30 with facilities for company or patrol cooking, a fridge freezer is supplied. Disabled toilets and a shower are situated in the shelter. This site also has a portaloo building consisting of 3 flush toilets, 2 showers and 3 hand basins.

Bryland
A medium sized hut on site equipped for up to 30 with facilities for company or patrol cooking. This site also has a portaloo building and a marquee.

Farm
This site has a camp shelter called the bield, which introduces a new and interesting dimension to camping at Netherurd. This shelter is heated, has electric lighting and hot showers. The Bield consists of an activity room / kitchen (fridge freezer supplied), flush toilets, a disabled shower / toilet and a shower room with 3 showers.

Patrol Sites
The Bridge and Crossroads sites are situated next to the burn and are equipped for a patrol undertaking a camp permit. These sites are also suitable for lightweight camping. A chemical toilet is available for each site.

Shop There is a small shop on site which, can be booked on arrival

Notes for Campsite users.

Activity packs: These are included in the welcome folder, which will be issued on your arrival. This includes information to enable you to use Netherurd to its full potential and help make your stay a happy and enjoyable one.

Arrival: (not applicable to weekend bookings) You are asked to notify Netherurd as to your time of arrival and travel arrangements. The sites are available for incoming camps after 2pm, out going camps are asked to vacate the site by 12 noon to allow the change over to take place within a reasonable time. If you wish to arrive earlier or leave later, please contact Netherurd in advance.

Equipment: Netherurd has a small equipment store so additional tentage can be requested if required. We also have a small marquee available if sites require extra shelter. Please notify Netherurd before your camp if you require extra equipment. Please check equipment lists carefully. Items not listed are NOT supplied, e.g. flag, toilet paper, ground sheets etc.

Fuel: Wood may be collected in the grounds and there will be a supply of firewood if necessary. We do not supply methylated spirits, epigaz or gas for lightweight stoves.

Noise: Campers are asked to contain their noise level during unsociable hours.

On-site Activities: Netherurd has various activities and games available. The Adventure trail is an example of one of our exciting activities, a course designed to be a challenge to your fitness or just plain fun.

The Netherurd estate gives you the freedom to roam in safe and secure grounds, exploring the woods, enjoying a nature walk or being involved in outdoor pursuits such as our permanent orienteering course. An activity store contains equipment for the use of groups visiting Netherurd, some of which incurs a small charge (please refer to enclosed leaflet regarding charges).

Pegs: A supply of spare pegs should be brought to replace any broken during camp.

Water: Netherurd campsites are connected to the mains water supply.

TOILETS:

BP and Bryland campsites have had their toilet facilities improved by the provision of a Porto cabin, which contains three flushing toilets plus two showers for each site. The Farm site has toilet and shower facilities in the Bield.

PATROL EQUIPMENT:

4 sets of patrol equipment are available for each site, these include: Patrol box & equipment and a fire shelter.

SPARE BLANKETS:

Spare blankets are available on request.
