Whether you’re looking for a suitable venue for curriculum
enhancement or outdoor education, Netherurd is the ideal setting in which
to encourage exploration and discovery.
And there’s nothing like a residential stay to put the fun back into learning about conservation, the woodlands, fauna & flora and the animal night-life of Netherurd Estate.
Netherurd is available for schools and groups on a self catering or semicatered basis. We have recently opened a brand-new, purpose-built, state of the art residential facility called the Garden House which is made up of three linked pavilions providing flexible services and accommodation for groups of up to 60. The Garden House can also be hired for meetings and conferences of anything between half a dozen and 150 people and comes complete with the latest technical infrastructure to cater for a broad range of clients whatever their particular needs. Our grounds are rich in natural resources with the estate set among stunning farmland with burns, ponds, fun woodland walks and even an adventure trek. Our nature trail is the ideal environment in which to conduct woodland studies and experience for yourself our stimulating conservation projects.
These natural resources are complemented with a wide variety of games equipment, teambuilding tasks and, for the more energetic, instructor-led adventure activities. There is an orienteering course that encompasses the whole estate, or you can try the adventure trek which winds through the woods before finishing with a flying fox.
