Welcome
Shop
The shop is located at the side of the main house and will be open for
guests as requested. Please ask
at the front office.
Notice
Board
On arrival you will find details of your group duties and other house
notices on the first floor.
Fire
Procedures
Fire Procedure notices must be read carefully (situated on the back of the
bedroom doors).
Duties
A patrol system is used to complete the household duties asked of visitors
to Netherurd. You will find the
colour of your group on your name label and details of your duties on the
notice board.
Meals
Meals, other than breakfast, are announced by the ringing of a gong and a
bell. Grace is usually sung
before meals. Breakfast is
served informally between 8.20am to 8.50am.
Please help yourselves from the breakfast table.
If you choose not to come to breakfast please be prepared to help
with duties afterwards. Staff
will be happy to discuss any dietary needs.
Coffee and tea is usually served in the foyer after meals.
Bar
– Adult Trainings Only
Netherurd has a bar which is open as per the programme (for adults only).
Tea
& Coffee Making Facilities
There are tea and coffee making facilities in each room.
If you use all the sachets, etc, please inform a member of staff who
will be happy to replenish your supply.
A supply is also available on the 2nd floor landing.
Telephone
There is a pay phone outside in the ships cabin, beyond the flag pole and to
the left. Please switch off the
light after use.
Internet/Broadband
Broadband is available in Scotland room and the landings.
When logging in you will pick up a message asking you if you would to
connect to ‘Scotland’ room. Select
‘yes’ and you will then have access.
Fees
A notice of fees will be put on the first floor table.
The amount due should be put in an envelope with your name and
details and whether you require a receipt and then placed in the fees
basket.
Rooms
There are extra blankets and a small heater in every room.
Please close all windows in your room and ensure the heater has been
unplugged and returned before you leave.
Please also clean the shower or bath after use.
Linen
At
the end of your visit please change your bed.
Clean linen can be found either in the wardrobes or chest of drawers
in each room. Please bring your own
towel. Please place all
dirty laundry in the laundry basket at reception before breakfast on Sunday.
Smoking
Netherurd has a no smoking policy.
Badges
Name badges can be found on the first floor table and are worn all weekend.
Please return these at the end your stay.
Uniform
Informal guide uniform is worn all weekend.
If
you have any requests or need anything at all please feel free to ask our
staff members.

Purpose built state of the art residential conference and training facility
at Netherurd House providing flexible accommodation for either two groups of
30 or one group of 60. The
Garden House is fully accessible for those with special needs and includes
two high dependency suites. Fully
